Design to Delight training program at Cape Breton University

Design for Delight is a process that looks at product and service development from the customers point of view and takes this a step further and puts customer satisfaction at the center of development. Design to Delight involves a three step process that put the customer at the centre of all decisions:

  1. Deep Customer Empathy provides an understanding of the customer and insights, and motivation to improve the lives of our customers.
  2. We “go broad” by employing creativity to explore many possible solutions to the customers problem. We then “go narrow” and focus on the solutions most likely to delight our customers.
  3. Rapid Experiments with Customers tests our solutions quickly. We run experiments with real customers, to quickly learn what works and what does not.
