What is Battle Apps?

Battle Apps is a no-code event that provides CBU and NSCC Marconi Students the opportunity to design their dream Android/iPhone app to solve a personal, social or business problem. Participants will have approximately 3-weeks to create their dream-app and be eligible to take part in exclusive app-development sessions to employ creative problem identification & solutions and app prototyping lessons before submitting your design for judging on January 31.

How does it work?

You don’t need to be a programmer for Battle Apps. Join one of our introduction sessions and we’ll provide you with a Battle Apps Workbook to help define and create your project. Between January 8 and January 31, we will have a series of sessions you can attend in person or online in which we will talk about the elements of app design and development. We will also create a free Moqups account for you to illustrate your prototype design and show us how your app works. Complete the workbook and submit it on January 31 and you could be awarded our top prizes.

The Workbook

Students will be provide a workbook to complete their project submission. The workbook provides a structure for planning your mobile application, inclusive of a business plan, market identification, and application features and benefits. There will be in-person and online sessions to help students compete their workbook. Attending the sessions is not mandatory, but they are recommended so that students are best prepared to submit a winning application. The workbook will be submitted by e-mail and students can attend an introduction session to ask questions about the competition and get started.
